Poetry Brings Gratitude

Description: Poets take their time to write pieces of work just for people to enjoy, just like how people make sweets, poets like to see smiles on faces. The faces will smile, and realize just how special poetry is. These poems will make you realize, and fill you with warmth. (Unless you already realized.)

Synopsis: Poetry is a piece of work, it is beauty that will bring happiness to the people who read it.

Rain Like Hail

Clouds shift in groups
just like they move continuously
They suddenly fade to black
and fill the whole sky
They kill the sunlight
and puddles form with the rain
Rain bangs on the roof
just like hail chips parts of it
The sound of thunder
booming through rows of houses
Darkness fills the sky
while we stay at home
waiting for the clouds to clear up
and once again feel the sunshine on our skin

Shame in the Dark

The moon shines the brightest when you're happy, and becomes dim when you're down. The moon will consider your feelings, and change according to them.

When people forgive you, your feelings instantly change, or when you forgive people. You shine with glitter, and you are covered in a distant glow of light-proof of a gift.

Initially I was disappointed in my brother for giving me a dollar in public, and then telling his friend's parents.

Lowering my head in shame after my brother told me, oh how shameful I was. Also showing how disappointed I was in my brother.

Internally I bled, I bled from shame and anger. How could he do that? Just seeing his face agitated me.

Going against me was what he was doing, he was declaring war! Making me look bad just because he felt like it.

"How nice of your sister to bring your backpack for you." The parents said after my brother told them that I brought it. Like the speed of light, he retorted saying he had to pay me.

The shame was eating me alive, but I have to live with it. Luckily when my brother told them, they ended up laughing, so its not that bad.

Literature

Lights in my head flicking on and off when I was thinking of what to write for my tanka. Though it didn't make sense, I still felt good about my work.

Intentionally I finished my homework before my dad got home. I called my dad with a little black device I held in my tired hands.

Tough hands smacked me on my face, it was wrong to ask my very busy father to buy me some glue.

Even though he had a busy day he took some of his valuable time to buy me supplies for school, I could tell he really cared.

Reptile scales rubbed against my arms called guilt, perhaps I shouldn't have asked him I thought to myself.

Adults always think best for the ones they love, especially parents. They will fight and eat with you.

Tough love is a combo with sweet love. When you receive one you get the other as well.

Utter darkness will befall you sometimes, but with the help of everyone around you, it will pass like the wind.

Ruts will come and go just like the sun: the sun will rise as will it fall.

Eventually you will move on with your life, keep living...keep living like there's no tomorrow.

People come and go

Summer is that time again

Memories, fights, hugs, laughter

They fade in your memory

Until you paint them once more

Sunsets

Space and life passes by quickly
Under the bright white droplet
Nights will set an alarm for dawn to come
Spirits will flow in your thoughts with eyelids shut
Entirely to clear a mind of knowledge
Truth be told with eyes closed and open
Smiles pass by the faces of those who encounter the time of drowsiness

Photos

Photos are memories
Hopeful memories
Only those who appreciate
Them will remember
Others will try
Somehow they cannot

They can try
However will not succeed
Enter the photo world
Reading how to remember
Eternity reviewing photos
